Bris Honors

• קווטר, קווטרין/ Kvater , Kvaterin
  The couple or individuals, honored with bringing the baby into the room where the Bris ceremony is to take place.
• כסא של אליהו / Kisay Shel Eliyahu
  The one honored to take the baby from the Kvater and place him on the Chair of Eliyahu Hanavi.
• מן הכסא / Min Hakisay
  The one honored to take the baby from the chair and hand the baby to his father, who then places him on the lap of the honored Sandek.
• סנדק / Sandek
  The one honored with holding the baby during the Bris Milah.
• מוהל / Mohel
  The one honored with performing the circumcision.
• ברכות / Brochos Blessings
  The one honored with reciting the Bris blessings on a cup of wine.
• עמידה לברכות / Amidah Lebrochos
  The one honored with holding the now circumcised baby during the Bris blessings.
• קריאת שם / Krias Shem
  The one honored with naming the baby.
• עמידה לקריאת שם / Amidah Lkrias Shem
  The one honored with holding the baby during his naming.
